Summary: The long list of 5-star reviews speaks for itself. This is really an amazing place with spectacular sea and mountain views, a great pool, beautifully furnished stone houses, a lot of outdoor space and privacy and the most welcoming hosts! We spent a week but could have certainly spent much more time at this wonderful place and beautiful Cap Corse.

Summary: Great eating out area and a well equipped kitchen that allowed us to cook what we wanted and enjoy it outside with spectacular views across the sea. A peaceful location, but with shops and a good bakery in the village on the way up the valley. There's a good network of local paths and a strenuous walk to the pass across to the other coast. Plenty of small beaches on our coast and the pool meant that we never felt the need to actually go. A wonderful, relaxing week with superb hospitality from Dede and Marie-Jose.

Summary: "Nice stone cabins overlooking the sea from the hills of the valley of Cisco located just north of Bastia. Lots of open space for kids. Great view. Cabins are well equiped and clean. Very quiet, lots of peace and tranquility. Recommend !"

Summary: "Framed by beautiful mountains, and with a view of the valley rolling down to the sea, if you want a peaceful holiday in Corsica, U Campone is the perfect place for it. The three stone gites in the garden are positioned to share the tremendous view, which drops away dramatically from the wooden decking of the swimming pool. The gites themselves are simply but thoughtfully furnished, with a shady terrace that immediately becomes the centre of life, from croissant to evening drink. Speaking of croissants, the boulanger arrives every morning in his van, providing a very Gallic interruption to the lie-in. We have a two-year-old, who had acres of garden to scoot around and an array of swings to choose from. Our one concern beforehand was the danger of staying near a pool, but were relieved to find it toddler-proof. Guillaume and his family are about as pleasant, open and helpful as it's possible to be, providing us with a wealth of recommendations regarding places to go. He even cooked all the guests lovely pizzas in a wood-fired oven in the dining area overlooking the pool. His orange wine aperitif and lemon alcohol digestive, home-made according to local recipes, provide a good reason why the Corsicans like their siestas. The gites are themselves a drive away from the sea, but the beautiful beaches, cliff walks, and mountain villages in the area are worth the car trip. We never regretted not choosing something closer to the beach. Cap Corse is a ruggedly beautiful place, almost the Scotland of Corsica. We highly recommend staying there."

Summary: "We had a fantastic time at U Campone. The location is superb with beautiful views down the valley and across the sea to Elba, with spectacular mountains behind. There is loads of room for the kids to run around and the swimming pool is great for adults and children alike. It's an amazingly peaceful location, no traffic noise at all. Guillaume and his family are very welcoming and helpful and do all they can to make the stay a pleasant one. The cottages are modern and clean and comfortably furnished. We will definitely be back to stay again."
